Periscope, The Trend!

by admin, May 15, 2014

Long live Social Media and Audience engaging. Twitter’s Periscope app has been launched couple of months ago and celebrities all over the world have taken their strategy into a new level. Periscope, a live streaming app, created by two successful men “Kayvon Beykpour ” and “Joe Bernstein” has taken Social Media to a brand new level.

Integrated with your Twitter account, you are one click away from reaching out to your audience all over the world. Have a new announcement to say, reach out to your fandom by simply sitting on a chair, give access to your mic and camera and roll. Once you start rolling, a twitter notification will pop up on all the screens of your followers and broadcasting will start. While you’re broadcasting live, messages from your followers will start to appear on the screen to create what we call “Online Engagement”. Answer their questions, shoutout their names and even enjoy the love with the hearts animation experience on the right of the screen; these hearts appear when someone tap on the screen to show their love to you.

Bloggers, Celebrities and Broadcasting companies are taking Periscope to a new level. The American Comedian Ellen Degeneres uses Periscope on a daily basis to bring attention for online users to her famous show “The Ellen Show” by simply live streaming during breaks on her show, in backstage and even while picking the “Daily Viral Video”, a daily take during her show for the most viewed video on the internet. On the other hand, Mashable, a New York based online magazine for Media and Technology is also taking advantage of Periscope to bring out news to their Twitter users. Mashable team interview famous people, review new launched products, recap the daily news in a 3 minutes short take and more!

There are thousands of ways to make a conservation with your fans these days but if you are a brand with a good fan base on your twitter account, consider the deep connection between Twitter and Periscope, because for all intents and purposes, Twitter is the submarine just below the surface the ocean that Periscope is connected to. It is the app and the social activity of the moment. Take advantage of it!
